I had had a hectic time with my tight work schedules. However at all times, my group of friends and me would come together for a day out. We discussed about going to Kuwait for a nice vacation experience.

As we all managed to take a week’s leave from work, we planned a trip to Kuwait. Ticket booking was done on
Pegasus Airlines.

On Board Pegasus Air And Accommodation

Our journey on board Pegasus Air was smooth. We were served some light refreshments on the fifty minute journey. The flight landed in the
Kuwait International Airport
from where we took an airport cab to the hotel where accommodation had been booked.

Our place of stay was the majestic Arinza Tower Quality Apartments. This hotel is 25 kilometers from the Kuwait International Airport and features the latest guest facilities and comforts. Unlike normal hotels, you are provided with only two bedroom apartments here, which gives you the feeling of staying in your own home.

As a group of five people, we quite enjoyed the space and the facilities provided ranging from plush furnishings to LCD television and more. Other facilities worth mentioning are swimming pool and gym.  We booked a cab for our sightseeing purpose.

Sightseeing Top Attractions in Kuwait

The first place that we visited was the Kuwait Towers. We were awestruck with the majestic look of Kuwait towers, which is a group of three towers that rise up in the air and stand as a symbol of modern
Kuwait.

The main tower has a water tank in its lower half, while the upper half has a restaurant, a café, a reception hall and lounge. The second tower is also used for water storage, while the third tower is used to hold equipment that lights up the remaining two towers.  We spent a lot of time here and enjoyed food in the tower’s restaurant.

I was completely mesmerized with the Souk Al-Mubarakiya. It is one of the oldest trading points in Kuwait with activities dating back to the discovery of oil. The shops here are simply fabulous offering everything ranging from clothing to spices. This is the place to come to buy Persian silk carpets and traditional costumes. The souk is known for selling perfumes such as musk. There is also a children’s playground here.

Our next stop over was the Grand Mosque. In Kuwait, the Grand Mosque is an awesome structure as it covers 45000 square meters. The main prayer hall is 72 meters wide. It has 144 windows and its doors are made out of teakwood.  It is the country’s largest as well as its official mosque.

We also stopped at the
Liberation Tower
, Al Kout Beach and Marina Mall, each of which gave a new experience and showed us something wonderful to remember and cherish. After a fabulous time sightseeing and shopping, we packed and left for the flight back home.
